Information concerning your NuTel installation

Scheduling
-
When you speak with our representative to schedule your installation, please be sure to detail any concerns or special requirements you may have. This will permit our staff to be better prepared when they arrive.

It is our policy to assign the next available installation date to you. However, we always try to accomodate special requests.

Whenever possible, we will call to advise you of conditions that may delay your installation. Inclement weather could be an issue during spme parts of the installation.

Connecting You to Our Network

Our technician will install a small antenna at your location that is used to securely connect with our network. The antenna shown above is typical, but may not be the style we install for you. (click on picture to enlarge)

The network cable from the antenna requires power to operate and needs to terminate where it can be connected to an unswitched power outlet.

Our installation technician will discuss antenna placement with you prior to starting work. Please keep in mind that to assure reliable performance, certain conditions may limit the choices available for placement.

Wiring Your Location

Most residential and small business services include basic standard installation. We will connect to a single computer or existing network, and to a single telephone or premise network.

Non-custom wiring will be placed in a manner consistant with industry standards and practices.

Any additional work, such as the connection of additional devices or networks, the custom routing of cabling or additional products requested, will be quoted by the technician at time of installation.

Setup

Our technician will wire and confirm the operational status of your computer and telephone services included in your subscription.

If you have an existing computer network, it may require certain changes to establish operational status on our network. Our technician will outline this for you.

If you have an existing phone number that you will be moving to your NuTel service, it may take up to 30 days to transfer. This is largely dependent on your existing carrier. You will be notified of status by e-mail. >>>more

Completion

We suggest you set aside at least 4 hours for installation. We take your business serious and intend to spend the time necessary to properly plan and execute the required tasks.

Our installation technician will make every effort to make this process as simple, clean and easy for you as possible. If you have any concerns during the installation, please be sure to address them with the technician.

Upon completion you will receive a statement of all work performed, as well as a description of any work requested that surpassed the parameters of basic installation. You will also be instructed how to contact us for questions, help or support.

Paperwork & Other Items

We require that someone of at least 18 years of age be available at all times during the installation process.

If you are not the owner of your property, you must either provide us with authorization from the property owner, or sign that you have notified the owner and obtained permission to have us perform an installation.
-
Upon completion, we will require documents to be signed by a responsible party or their representative.
-
Payments ofr any additional or custom work will be collected upon completion.
